Muscle-relaxant injections are used to treat fine lines and wrinkles. They can also be used to manage migraines, teeth grinding and hyperhidrosis.
What to expect
Before any injectable appointment, patients must present to one of the doctor’s at Advantage Skin Clinic for an initial consultation and script. An injectable script is valid for up to 6 months according to TGA guidelines. A doctor will reassess you for subsequent scripts (put in both AW and DF).
Our highly trained Cosmetic Nurses (practicing under the guidance under the Doctors) administer muscle relaxants to smooth out lines caused by dynamic muscle activity. Muscle-relaxant injections are not permanent and typically last 3-4 months in the upper face, and longer in the lower face. Results may be visible from 4 days post-treatment, but it may take up to two weeks to see the full effect of the treatment.
Duration
Anti-wrinkle injections usually take less than 30 minutes to administer.
Downtime
Anti-wrinkle injections have minimal downtime, and you can return to your normal activities immediately after the procedure.
